Experience high-level winter fun in the top ski resort "Zillertal Arena" in Zell im Zillertal. This beautiful village lies 580m above sea-level, while the Zillertal Arena offers 166km of runs and 49 lifts between 1.300m and 2.505m altitude - from December to Easter!
The lifts in the Gerlosstein area are perfect for families: 12.7 kilometres of quiet slopes with hardly any queues! Enjoy every minute of your stay on the longest tobboggan track of the valley (with floodlighting to 01:00 am).

Zell am Ziller has always been on an important transit route between Italy and Salzburg (since 1428 at least) - it's safe to say travellers are always welcome here. Another tradition is the "Gauder Fest", Austria's oldest spring festival, which takes place annualy on the first weekend of May.
In summer, the "ArenaFUNten Club" offers leisure activites for children, "Genuss Aktiv" for adults. Zell am Ziller also offers a climbing area on Gerlosstein and the "Arena Coaster", a rollercoaster down the mountain! All of this certainly guarantees an extra portion of fun.
Outdoor activities include walking, mountaineering, mountain biking, paragliding, swimming, etc. The Freizeitpark, or recretion park, in Zell offers you some exiting alternatives to skiing and snowboarding: an ice rink can be used for ice skating, curling and ice hockey, while there are also 4 lanes of bowling and tennis courts (indoors and outdoors!). The indoor courts in can be used in the winter and late at night, while the four outdoor courts also include a tennis wall and can be used in summer.
Covering an are of more than 45.000 square metres, the Freitzeitpark has something to offer for everybody: there's also minigolf, volleyball, street soccer, football, and of course the fantastic outdoor pool with slides, whirlstreams, sports pool, and much more!
As you can see, Zell is great both in summer and in winter. You will certainly find activities to suit you.
